  • John Payne is the perfect straight guy but at times the film is asking too much of him to play a badass- he can’t turn that switch like Jimmy Stewart can in his Anthony Mann films
  • Great scene and line about Payne “was the guy who saved your life in Iwo Jima, huh?… I’d buy him”
