Love the simple revenge story that certainly has many film counterparts including more recent updates including braveheart and gladiator. Woefully underrated in Feb 2017 at #952 on TSPDT Originally was directed by Philip Kaufman (the right stuff) but was apparently thrown overboard by Eastwood Certainly a mark of Eastwood as an auteur is the retribution themes throughout Eastwood’s career.
