• The comic writing by judge is superb—we may be touching the boundaries of “taste” here but I find this film to be superior, with its polish and crafted writing, too much uneven improvisation in the  work of Judd Apatow which would dominate the 00’s decade
  • Brilliantly satires the corporate world- the level of detail with the banners, cake, Hawaiian shirt day (and countless others) is admirable… it takes shots at Fridays/Chllis/Applebees while they’re at it
  • It’s a content based archive choice- largely I don’t think Judge is a great visual director so the cap for this film is definitely a “recommend” grade
  • Perfectly ironic rap soundtrack
  • Recommend but not in the top 10 of 1999
