Have you seen Soul yet? I find it to be a clear companion piece to Inside Out both conceptually and in execution, which is certainly a positive indicator for Pete Docter (the director of both movies). Although I think the 2015 film is slightly greater, Soul is indisputably poignant, beautiful, and endlessly creative. There are some sequences I’d even venture to call expressionistic. I think it is worthy of a spot in the archives.
