Toy Story – 1995 Lasseter
- Pixar’s first film- a smashing critical and box office
success— set the groundwork for this as the future vs. the hand-drawn work
that dates back decades
- It was the first feature-length film to be entirely
computer-animated
- Crisp beautiful images—
- An accomplishment of inventive world-building
- Randy Newman does some impressive work here- sets the
comic/nostalgic poignant tone—the movie moves—and there are 3 songs here in 81
minutes
- Two strong comic lead voices— Tom Hanks and his charming wailing
routine and Tim Allen doing a great William Shatner
- Plenty of play-on-word cleverness
- A few nice cinema homages—one of the Raiders of the Lost Ark ball rolling and there’s a bit of Tod
Browning’s Freaks believe it or not
with the dismembered toys
- R/HR border

Hey Drake, could you do a Pixar movie ranking?
Me top 3 Pixar’s would be:
1) Finding Nemo
2)Toy Story
3)Walle.
Pixar has created some incredible movies with superb animation and incredible storytelling and characters. They were a great part of my childhood and still remain my favorites even today.
Toy story
WALL-E
Inside Out
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
The worst are:
Onward
Cars
Cars 2
Cars 3
Brave
Great list! Andrew Stanton has made a huge impact on Pixar. Directing Walle and Finding Nemo and writting Rataouille, The Incredibles and many more. Pixar’s influence on animated cinema is humongous.
