• A strong lead performance from Awkwafina—it was a tough role… for the bulk of her film she’s slumping, hanging her head dourly and rarely uses her obvious comedic talents—but she’s still our vehicle into this narrative for its entirety and it’s not a tough hang which is a triumph in it of itself
